SRINAGAR: Fresh snowfall at Razdan Pass led to the suspension of traffic on the Gurez-Bandipora road as a precautionary measure. According to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, the decision was taken to ensure the safety of travellers amid deteriorating weather conditions.
Officials said that Razdan Pass witnessed fresh snow accumulation, rendering the road unsafe for travel. The thoroughfare shall remain closed untill further orders to ensure public safety, they said.
The commuters have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated through official announcements regarding the reopening of the route.
