Srinagar: Paying tributes to slain Hizb commander Mohamamd Shafi Sheikh of Seelu Sopore, Hurriyat Conference(M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday said safeguarding the “sacrifices of martyrs” was the “collective responsibility of the people and leadership.”
“It is important that people show resolve and complete commitment towards the freedom struggle,” Mirwaiz said in a statement.
Meanwhile, senior leaders of the amalgam, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and Hakim Abdul Rashid led a delegation to Seelu and expressed condolences with Sheikh’s family
Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Jaffar Kashmiri, Ali Mohamamd Radhu, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Hassan, Javed Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad and others were also part of the delegation, the statement said.
