PM’s Visit: 14 Admin Secretaries Ordered To Be Stationed In Srinagar

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has directed 14 Administrative Secretaries to remain stationed at Civil Secretariat Srinagar for four days with effect from January 10 to January 13.
The order comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir on January 13 to inaugurate the Z-Morh tunnel on the Srinagar-Sonamarg road to make Sonamarg an all-weather tourist destination.
The officers include Shantmanu, Shaleen Kabra, Shailendra Kumar, H. Rajesh Prasad, Chandraker Bharti, Saurabh Bhagat, M. Raju, Dr. Rashmi Singh, Vikramjit Singh, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Niraj Kumar, Bhupinder Kumar and Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah
The Z-Morh tunnel, along with the 13-kilometer-long under-construction Zojila tunnel, forms a crucial part of a strategic project for ensuring round-the-year connectivity between Kashmir and Ladakh region which remains closed during the winters due to heavy snowfall.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Zojila pass on the Srinagar-Ladakh highway experienced snowfall and the minimum temperature plunges to -31.0°C on Thursday.
