Clashes erupted between government forces and protesters in Thoker Pora Qaimoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area.
Sources said that youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shells triggering clashes.
Earlier a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF cordoned-off the entire area after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
