SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday expressed condolences on the demise of maternal uncle of MLA Uri Dr Sajjad Shafi, Ghulam Rasool Khawaja, who passed away early this morning. He was laid to rest in his hometown Garkote village in Uri.
In their condolence message, the duo prayed for peace to the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat and fortitude to the bereaved Khawaja and Uri households.
NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, and other ministers also expressed grief and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
