Stolen property including cash recovered

SRINAGAR: Police in Sopore have solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of the crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
“Police Station Panzalla received a complaint from Ashiq Hussain Shah, resident of Brandub Rafiabad, stating therein that during the intervening night of December 9-10, 2024 some unknown burglars have entered his home and stolen various household items, including jewellery and cash. Accordingly, case FIR No. 53/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Panzalla and an investigation was initiated,” police said in a statement.
During the investigation, some suspects were called for questioning, police said, adding that the investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on two suspected persons who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime. “They have been identified as Zakir Hussain Shah son of Khadim Shah and Manzoor Ahmad Shah son of Munawar Ahmad Shah, both residents of Brandub Rafiabad. Both the accused have been arrested and, on their disclosure, stolen property including 01 gold ring, 01 pair of golden earrings, one golden nose pin and cash amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from their possession,” police said.
