Students, parents, civil society members, and local stakeholders attended the event, marking a significant milestone in the region’s educational landscape.
Farooq Ahmad Mir, Director of Candid Classes Pulwama, expressed his gratitude to the guests and the community members, stating “Our mission is to provide not only quality education but also individual development program (IDP) to prepare students for competitive exams like NEET and JEE. We aim to foster a nurturing environment where students excel both academically and personally.”
Coaching Centers Association Kashmir (CCA) Chairman, Dr. G.N. Var, said at the inaugural function that “I am extremely happy to witness this esteemed gathering at Candid Classes. The establishment of this coaching center in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district is a significant step toward providing quality education at the doorstep of students. This will not only ease the financial burden by saving on hostel, boarding, food, and other expenses but will also contribute to the overall development of the region.
It is now time for our students and teachers to focus on proper tarbiyat (nurturing), and we must adopt Sunnah such as sleeping early and waking up early in the morning. These habits not only make life easier but also bring success and health benefits.
Moreover, I urge students to realize that you are the future generation of our state. This is the right time to engage in research and acquire knowledge. Set examples in every field and be the change you wish to see.
Whenever we have been given opportunities and platforms, we have proven ourselves in every field. For example, Dr. Owais Jeelani, one of the world’s top neurosurgeons, is a proud example of Kashmiri talent. Additionally, Dr. Khursheed Guru has made significant contributions and has been providing a helping hand to many deserving students. This proves that, when provided with the right opportunities, our talent shines on the global stage.
Local coaching centers in J&K need to flourish because they play a pivotal role in all aspects of education. They provide jobs to local teachers and contribute significantly to the growth of our youth and economy. Coaching center owners must ensure they offer top-quality tuition and state-of-the-art facilities to our students.”
Abdul Majeed Bhat, Chairman of Candid Educational Trust, said on the organization’s 30-year legacy of educational excellence, adding “We are proud to expand our operations to Pulwama district while staying true to our mission of inclusive education.
Today, I am delighted to announce free coaching for 50 students from poor, orphaned, and BPL categories, along with free study material. Education is a right to all and we are committed to ensuring access for all.”
Speaking at the event, Sarfaraz Ahmad (JKAS Officer) encouraged students to minimize distractions like social media and focus on learning from their teachers, says “Prioritizing skilled education will equip students to overcome future challenges.”
Mir Nazir, a renowned broadcaster and AIR correspondent, commended the initiative “This is a commendable step towards making quality education accessible in Pulwama. I thank Candid Educational Trust chairman for their generous support for underprivileged students and appreciate the decades-long contributions of Dr. G.N. Var to Jammu and Kashmir’s education sector.”
