GDC Hajin holds workshop on entrepreneurship

HAJIN: Government Degree College (GDC) Hajin, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Bandipora, Government of J&K, organized a one-day workshop titled “Entrepreneurship as a Career Option and the Start-Up Policy in J&K.”
The primary objective of the workshop was to sensitize and guide students on pursuing entrepreneurship as a viable career path. The event emphasized how students can establish their own businesses to not only secure a livelihood for themselves and their dependents but also create employment opportunities for others in society.
Students were informed about the J&K government’s start-up policy, which offers numerous opportunities to transform innovative ideas into reality, fostering growth and development on a larger scale.
Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Gazala Firdous, assured students of the college’s commitment to providing logistical support and guidance to those with innovative ideas, encouraging them to showcase their talent.
The resource person, Syed Asrar Qadri from EDI Bandipora, delivered an insightful lecture, offering practical information on career opportunities in entrepreneurship. Students actively participated in the session, posing relevant questions that were addressed by the organizing committee. The event was attended by all faculty members.
