Srinagar: A terrorist has been gunned down while another is trapped in an ongoing firefight in Ketson forest area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora, reports said.
As per reports, one terrorist has been killed while security forces believe another is trapped in the area.
Meanwhile, Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a terrorist associate in Handwara along with arms and ammunition.
A spokesperson said that during a cordon and search operation in Bongam Chogul area of Handwara, security forces apprehended a terrorist associate namely Ashiq Hussain Wani of Sopore.
The statement reads that a pistol along with a magazine and seven live rounds were also recovered from his possession.
“A case FIR No. 200/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in police station Handwara and investigation is underway,” it reads.
