JAMMU: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed MLA Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat, as the Chief Whip of the Party in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Meanwhile the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K president Sat Sharma Monday said that the party will resist any move on Article 370 in Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir.
While commenting on PDP MLA Waheed Para’s move on Article 370, he said that all 28 BJP MLAs opposed the resolution brought forwarded by one of the MLAs seeking the restoration of Article 370.
He said that some people do not want peace in Jammu and Kashmir, and added that BJP will not let them succeed in their designs.
