Dr Rizvi advises students to prepare thoroughly, use interesting visuals
SRINAGAR: Regional Director Dr A.H. Rizvi interacted with the students of Psychology programme whose Internship viva is scheduled this week at Regional Centre Srinagar. He in his deliberations with the students focused on the fact that the viva does not only provide a platform for the presentation of the theme but also gives an opportunity for comprehensive expression and practical application of their research. Besides this he emphasized upon using interesting visuals and concise and coherent explanations in order to clearly and properly communicate the objectives of the project and its outcomes.
He advised the students to go through their work on the subject and brainstorm on the questions that the expert would ask. He suggested that the presentation should be rehearsed several times in front of peers or mentors to build up confidence and constructive feedback.
Dr Rizvi explained the criteria to be used by the evaluators, which include the depth of research, originality, problem-solving approach, and the quality of the presentation. He also highlighted the need to demonstrate a genuine understanding of the subject area. Dr. Rizvi insisted upon them to ask questions, clarifying any issues that might have arisen in their minds regarding the viva process.
In the end, Dr Rizvi concluded with an assurance about the capabilities of the students and told them to take it up confidently and preparedly. He said that the viva is not pressurizing you at all, but an opportunity to showcase your hard work and dedication and emphasized upon the students that their contribution in different areas of their specialization will go a long way and will help the stakeholders and government body of Kashmir Valley.
