Following the lynching of Deputy SP Muhammad Ayoub Pandith, Superintendent of Police for North Srinagar, Sajad Khaliq Bhat, has been transferred, ANI reported on Saturday.
DSP Ayoub died after people attacked him outside the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar on Thursday night. He was reportedly clicking pictures of people coming out of the mosque.
The incident evoked a nation-wide outrage.
