SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq will deliver a sermon on the philosophy of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) on the Day of Ashura (10th Muharram) on Wednesday from 4 pm till Asr prayer at Astaan Aalia Alam Sahib Narwara, Srinagar.
The event is held as per tradition under the auspices of Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar and Idara local auqaf Masjid Sharief Alam Sahib Narwara. Mirwaiz will pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala. In Sha Allah, the Anjuman Auqaf said in a statement issued to the press.
The statement urged the general public, men and women, especially the youth, to arrive at Alam Sahib Narwara ahead of time and participate in this special session of preaching and propagation.
By doing so, they can express their devotion and love for Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions, the martyrs of Karbala, the Anjuman said.
