SRINAGAR: The Indian Army proudly announces the successful completion of a motorcycle expedition marking the RajatJayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas. This expedition served as a prelude to the celebrations of RajatJayanti Kargil Vijay Diwas, honoring the valor of our courageous soldiers.
The expedition aimed to pay homage to Veer Naris, Kargil Awardees, and Veterans, and included various commemorative events along its route. Motorcycle teams from different parts of the country assembled at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, where they were flagged off by the COAS on two separate routes to Dras. One route traversed from New Delhi through Jammu via Zozila to Dras, while the other route passed through Chandigarh, Nothing Pass, and Leh before reaching Dras.
A major highlight of the expedition was the Flagging-In ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial, where the teams were honored by the distinguished Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Northern Command. The ceremony paid tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War and provided an opportunity for interaction with war veterans and Veer Naris. This expedition not only commemorated the sacrifices of our brave soldiers but also exemplified the spirit of unity and resilience of the Indian Army.
