NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate 2024 result. Candidates who appeared in the examination can check their respective results through the official website — exams.nta.ac.in.
As per the data shared by NTA, a total of 9,96,393 male candidates 13,31,321 female candidates, and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the exam. While the overall attendance has been recorded at 96.94 per cent, the attendance of male candidates was 96.92 per cent, 96.96 per cent for female candidates, and 94.44 per cent for transgender candidates.
NTA will prepare the all-India merit list based on cut-off and marks secured by the candidate. Those who will score more than the cut-off will become eligible for 15 per cent of all India quota counselling. The 15 per cent All India Quota shall only be filled based on NEET UG 2024 rank and as per the statutory regulation of MCI/NMC/DCI. For the admission to 85 per cent, the states shall conduct individual counseling.
Last year, the NEET UG cut-off percentile for the general category was 50 for MBBS and BDS candidates and 40 for OBC, SC and ST candidates. The NTA will determine the percentile of NEET UG based on the highest marks scored in the all-India common merit list for NEET UG 2024.
Tamil Nadu’s Prabanjan J and Andhra Pradesh’s Bora Varun Chakravarthi have topped the NEET-UG last year scoring 99.99 percentile scores, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced. A total of 20.38 lakh registered for the exam of which 11.45 lakh candidates qualified.
