Srinagar: The J&K Government has come to the rescue of the in-service employees aspiring for Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Mains of JKAS-2023.
According to an order by the General Administrative Department , all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Heads of the Departments (HoDs) have been asked to allow all the in-service candidates for appearing in the J&K CCE Mains Examination-2023.
“Representations have been received from various in-service candidates who are not being granted leave to appear in the Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination, 2023, which is scheduled to take place with effect from March 26 to April 3 of 2024, in view of their engagement in various assignments including election related duties,” the official communication reads.
The J&K Public Service Commission (PSC) has scheduled the Mains of JKAS-2023 on March 26, 27, 28, 29 and April 2 and 3.
“The matter has been examined and it has been desired to advise all the Deputy Commissioners, SSPs and HoDs to allow the in-service candidates wishing to appear in the above said examination, subject to sanction of leave,” the order reads.
With cancellation of leaves, the aspirants from various Government departments had found themselves in a difficult situation.
In this regard, the candidates had written a letter to Chief Secretary, Atal Dullo, seeking necessary measures in this regard.
It is noteworthy that nearly 200 in-service candidates are scheduled to appear in the exam.
