CEO Pulwama issues stern warning, threatens registration cancellation

Pampore: In a resolute move, three private schools in the Education Zone Pampore of Pulwama district, Kashmir, were sealed for violating winter vacation guidelines. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Pampore, Abdul Rashid Teli, conducted a crackdown on these institutions in Wuyan and Khrew areas.
This decisive action comes in response to a stern warning from Chief Education Officer Pulwama, Abdul Qayoom Nadvi, who had previously issued a clear directive outlining severe consequences for schools failing to adhere to winter vacation orders.
According to the ZEO Pampore order, certain private schools, including Hanfia Islamia High School Wuyan Pampore, North Top Khrew, and MTQ Wuyan Pampore, were found running classes during winter vacations. This blatant violation of government orders is perceived as an attempt to justify charging tuition fees and other dues from students.
During the surprise raid, ZEO Pampore and his team locked all three schools on the spot and reiterated a stern warning to all heads of institutions and managing bodies to immediately cease any violations.
Chief Education Officer Pulwama, Abdul Qayoom Nadvi, expressed dismay over repeated violations despite multiple orders emphasizing strict compliance with winter vacation directives. He stated that appropriate measures would be taken against schools found in violation, including the cancellation of their registration. Nadvi provided a list of schools warned or sealed in the Education Zone of Pulwama, emphasizing that any repeat offenses would result in registration cancellation.
The government-mandated winter break, in effect until February 29, 2024, has faced challenges as some schools reportedly continue regular activities during the designated vacation period. The crackdown aims to enforce compliance and ensure that students benefit from the stipulated winter vacation period without any disruptions.
