Srinagar: Er. Ehtisham Khan, Senior Vice President of The Purpose, an NGO dedicated to advocating for justice and fairness in education, has expressed deep concern about recent developments regarding the alleged denial of examination forms for class 10th students by the J&K Board of School Education, saying a crucial moment unfolds in the academic pursuits of thousands of students.
“It has come to our attention that the J&K Board of School Education has adopted an unjust stance by refusing examination forms from schools situated on state land. The arbitrary decision to penalize students for circumstances beyond their control is both unfair and unjust. Students, who are the backbone of our future, should not bear the brunt of administrative disputes. At THE PURPOSE, we vehemently advocate for students’ rights to education, irrespective of their school’s administrative issues,” Er. Ehtisham said in a statement, adding, “Denying these young minds the opportunity to sit for their examinations is not only a violation of their fundamental rights but also hampers their academic growth and future prospects.”
We urge the Lieutenant Governor and relevant authorities to reconsider this decision and redirect their focus towards holding schools accountable, rather than penalizing innocent students, he said, adding, “Our organization calls for a fair and equitable resolution that places the educational well-being of students at the forefront.”
“Education is a fundamental right, and no student should be deprived of this right due to circumstances beyond their control. The Purpose stands ready to support and amplify the voices of these affected students until a fair solution is reached,” Er. Khan added.
