Police organise events across valley
Srinagar: As a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, police organised various events to observe “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” a nationwide campaign at various police establishments across the Kashmir valley.
“Budgam police organized plantation drives at Police Station Budgam, Police Post Soibug, and Humhama. Besides, in a heartfelt gesture, a felicitation ceremony was held at Magam and Narbal Police Stations to honour the memory and sacrifice of martyrs,” police said.
Panch Pran pledges were also conducted at Beerwah & Hardupanzu Police Stations. Apart from these programmes, tiranga rallies were carried out by Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief and Pakherpora and showcased the unyielding spirit of unity and patriotism.
Kulgam Police organized Tiranga Rally in which DM Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-din Bhat-IAS, SP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal-IPS, ADDC Kulgam, ACD Kulgam, ACR Kulgam DySP Hqrs Kulgam, DySP DAR DPL Kulgam, DySP PC Kulgam, SHO PS Kulgam, officers/officials of District Police Kulgam, Civil administration & Students of various educational institutions participated.
Police also carried out plantation drive in which saplings of different species were planted in and around the Police establishments across the district. Moreover, DM Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat-IAS and SP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal-IPS administered Panch Pran pledge to the officers and officials of civil administration and police. In a heartfelt gesture, a felicitation ceremony was held at mini secretariat Kulgam where DM Kulgam, SP Kulgam with other senior officers of civil administration and police presented momentous to the family members of the martyrs.
“Similarly, Awantipora Police alongwith 180Bn CRPF organized a Tiranga rally in Tral area of the Police District. Bandipora Police organized Plantation drives, Panch Pran Pledge, Tiranga Rallies, Felicitation of Martyrs and hoisting of National Flag ceremonies at different police establishments of the district,” police said.
