PAMPORE: A girl from Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has secured a position among toppers in the 11th class examination results.
Safeena Ashraf, daughter of Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, a resident of Tulbagh locality of Saffron town, has secured 492 marks out of 500 in JKBOSE Class 11 annual regular examinations the results of which were declared on Monday.
Safeena is a student at Muslim Educational Institute Pampore.
Principal of Muslim Education Institute, Tariq Ahmad Bhat, told Kashmir Reader that Safeena is the first student in the school’s history who has bagged 492 marks in the commerce stream.
The daughter of a mechanic, Safina, in an exclusive interview with Kashmir Reader, said that consistency is the only mantra to success.
“For achieving your goals, consistency is important. One should have high goals,” she said, adding that her teachers used to tell her to “dream for the sky so that if you fall you will land on stars”.
She credited her parents and teachers for the success. “My parents have always supported me and my two sisters,” she said, adding that she has a message for other parents that it is not only the sons but daughters too can make them feel proud.
Safina commended her father for doing hard work to enable her to achieve her goals.
“I am very much thankful to my teachers, especially Majid sir, Amir sir, Muzamil Sir, Nahida Madam and Saiqa Madam. I thank them from the core of my heart for guiding and encouraging me,” she said, adding, “I chose commerce to pursue my dream to become a Chartered Accountant.”
Pampore girl becomes first commerce student in MEI to score 492/500 marks
