Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore provides clothes, footwear to poor, needy

PAMPORE: Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust ( IAIT) Pampore distributed dress materials among the poor and destitute here at Saffron Town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The distribution of dress materials and footwear among widows, orphans and the poor has been carried by the trust for the past three days so that they can celebrate joyfully.
The Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore provides free-of-cost medicine to patients suffering from cancer, diabetes, kidney and other chronic diseases from Pampore Tehsil monthly basis.
Talking to Kashmir Reader President Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore, Mohammad Maqbool Shah, said that the holy month of Ramadhan is near to completion and Eid ul Fitr is arriving.
“We have arranged distribution of Eid clothing, footwear among poor and destitute which is going on from last three days,” he said, adding that this year they included footwear too.
“The clothing included kidswear, ladies wear,” he said, adding that they hold the distribution twice a year during which winter and summer clothing is provided to the needy.
He informed that the trust runs a multitude of welfare programmes for the needy, poor and destitute.
He said that they sponsor the education of orphans and poor students who are provided free uniforms, books, notebooks and tuition fees.
He added that besides they also arrange live-saving drugs for chronic poor patients on monthly basis and carry out their investigations and tests free of cost at the trust diagnostic centre.
“We are able to extend a helping hand to the poor and the needy due to the support of local residents who pay their Zakat and Sadkat to Baitul Maal of the trust,” he said.
