PAMPORE: Army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles organized an iftaar party in Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The iftaar party hosted by 50 Rashtriya Rifles Company located in the Saffron Pampore, was attended by many local residents including youth, senior citizens and several officials from civil administration, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Army officials also paid Ramadan greetings to their Muslim guests on the occasion and said that this helps to spread the message of love, affection and mutual trust.
Dignitaries from Tehsil office Pampore and SDPO Pampore also graced the auspicious function with their presence.
Besides Sarpanchs, Panchs and Lumbardars of nearby villages also participated with full zeal and zest.
During this occasion, soldiers and officers held prayer and prayed for prosperity, peace and progress for all mankind.
The local residents appreciated the unit for organising such programmes which according to them foster a mutual bond of kinship between all sections of society.
“Such programmes help to create a conducive environment for all forms of development,” they said.
