DC Kupwara , Bandipora  flag-off RTC buses on various routes

KUPWARA: In order to provide better transport facilities to the people of Kupwara district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today flagged-off newly allotted 3 RTC Busses from D.C Office Kupwara.
Chairman DDC Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori; DDC Member Kralpora, Adv. Masrat; DDC Member Kalaroose, Mustafa Rahie and District Manager SRTC Kupwara, Mohammad Akbar Shah were present on the occasion.
Talking to media persons, the DC said that the District Administration is committed to provide better transport facilities to the people of Kupwara district. He said these buses are equipped with state of art technology having reclining seats and safety features adding that the buses will also facilitate the tourists to explore different areas of the district. He also said that more buses will be allotted in coming days to ply on other routes of the district.
On the occasion, it was informed that these 3 buses added to the fleet in the district will run to and fro from Sogam to Srinagar, Guzriyal to Srinagar and Meelyal to Srinagar on daily basis via Kupwara town.
Later, the DC along with Chairman DDC and DDC Members took a ride on the SRTC bus from D.C Office to Fountain Chowk Kupwara town.
Meanwhile, PRIs and local people belonging to Sogam, Kralpora and Meelyal areas have expressed their gratitude towards the District Administration for making their travel to Srinagar easy and comfortable.
Meanwhile  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Monday flagged-off Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) Bus Service for different routes of Bandipora viz. Malangam to Srinagar, Arin to Srinagar and Bonakoot to Srinagar.
The flag-off ceremony held at mini secretariat Bandipora was attended by DDC members of Aloosa Mewa Jan, DDC Arin Gh Mohiudin, DDC Bonakoot Ab Gani, senior citizens and other concerned officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that JKRTC Bus services have been started to augment the transport facility for the public from different routes of Bandipora to Srinagar and to provide hassle free and comfortable travel facilities for passengers from upper areas of Bandipora to Srinagar.
Dr. Owais said the service will be highly beneficial for the general public and congratulated the concerned from JKRTC and DDC members who made it possible to start the services from the said routes.
He said the bus services will not only facilitate the transport facility to the public but will also ensure comfortable travel as these buses are semi-deluxe and more comfortable than conventional buses.
The DC said that more buses will be added to Srinagar-Bandipora route if need arises to provide better transport services.
The locals and elected representatives appreciated the administration for the timely and people friendly transport services.
