Srinagar: An electronic goods shop was gutted in a fire incident near city centre Lal Chowk on the intervening night of January 7 and January 8, damaging electronic goods worth crores.
According to eyewitnesses, fire emerged from the showroom of M/s Teint Communication, Karra Building, Court Road during the night.
In the incident, electronic goods, which included LED TVs, LED panels, mobile phones, CCTVs and other items were completely destroyed, they said and added due to the timely action by Fire Service, the fire was controlled from spreading further.
However, some other adjoining shops also suffered damages in the incident, they said. The victims appealed the authorities to provide compensation.
