All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association meets top officials to address promotion issue

SRINAGAR: A high-level delegation led by President Mansoor Ahmad Khan, representing the All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Association, recently met with top officials in Srinagar to discuss the pressing issues of stagnation and lack of avenues for promotion among +2 cadre lecturers.
According to a statement issued by the association, the delegation, which included several other prominent members, held a detailed meeting with Principal Secretary Finance, Santosh D. Vaidya (IAS) and discussed the current state of the +2 cadre. The delegation presented a comprehensive overview of the structure of the cadre and urged the government to take immediate action to address this burning issue.
The delegation was informed that the government is actively working on finding a solution to this problem and every effort will be made to settle this issue soon, the statement said.
In addition to the meeting with the Principal Secretary Finance, the delegation also met with Secretary Law, Achal Sethi, and Deputy Secretary Law to discuss the need for career progression and stagnation in the +2 cadre.
Later, the delegation met with officers from the School Education Department, including Additional Secretary G. N. Bhat and Deputy Secretary Masood Ahmad Wani, and discussed various issues related to Human Resource Management (HRM) and requested timely redressal and disposal of these matters.
The delegation appreciated the patient hearing given by the officials and expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor-led government for addressing their concerns on merit.
The members of the delegation included Jan Mohammad, Dr. Mir Nazim, Bhat, Khursheedul Hassan, Khursheed Ahmad Rather, and Khursheed ul Alam, the statement said.
