PAMPORE: 110 Bn CRPF, Lethpora organised a fire Hazards Safety Session in collaboration with district Fire Services Awantipora led by fire service officer Pampore Abdul Hai at its Headquarters at Lethpora and sub unit locations at Pampore areas of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
A fire safety session to educate and aware the inmates of 110 Battalion CRPF with the help and assistance of district fire services officials was organised at its Lethpora headquarters which was inaugurated by Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 Bn CRPF, officials of CRPF told Kashmir Reader.
The aim of this awareness program was to educate the personnel of the unit about various kinds of fire , and techniques to effectively handle and use different fire fighting equipment and to counter the fire incidents in kitchen, barracks, stores, petrol dumps and inside vehicles. The awareness session was conducted with lectures on the subject and demonstrations on the ground by fire services officials.
Speaking about the session Purohit, Commandant said that a small fire if not controlled timely may result in a big incident and may result in loss to life and property. Being a force personnel one should have knowledge of controlling different types of fire effectively and handle all the fire fighting equipment skillfully. He extended his gratitude to the officials of district fire services for their assistance and support in organising the awareness program.
