Sehrai voices anguish over stopping of ambulances on highway

SRINAGAR: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Saturday voiced anguish over the stopping of ambulances on highway to allow army and yatra convoys to pass.
In a statement, Sehrai said, “From last few days, several videos have gone viral on social media platforms and also reported by some electronic media where government forces are stopping civilian traffic and ambulances ferrying critical patients. It is deeply painful and unfortunate.”
“Kashmiris facilitate yatra. So why such gag?” asked Sehrai
He said that such “dictatorial restriction” on public vehicular movements to facilitate yatra even at the cost of medical emergencies is highly condemnable.
Sehrai also condemned the imposition of restrictions in Srinagar on martyrs day and prevention of people from offering Juma congregational prayers at historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar.
