Sehrai, Shah pay tribute to Burhan Wani

SRINAGAR: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) incarnated chief Shabir Shah on Sunday paid tribute to Burhan Wani on his death anniversary.
In a statement, Sehria said, “Burhan’s death infused a new spirit in the struggle for freedom and the people of Kashmir are steadfast to take their movement to a logical conclusion.”
“The international community should exert pressure on India for the protection and restoration of fundamental and political rights of Kashmiri people. The durable peace in South Asia can only be achieved through resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions,” he said.
Shabir Shah in his message from Tihar jail, Delhi said, “The charismatic militant commander exhibited political maturity at a young age and before his martyrdom showed a way of resistance to youth which they are following religiously since then.”
“Burhan Wani as the youngest resistance leader world over who rules the hearts and minds of the people even after his death,” Shah said – according to the statement issued here.
“Burhan will always be remembered for his efforts to keep the youth united and hold the torch of resistance strongly,” he said.
