BJP forms volunteer teams to help Amarnath pilgrims

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) JK unit has formed around a dozen volunteer teams to be stationed on both shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam tracks to help pilgrims undertaking the yatra to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.
The yatra, which commenced from July 1, will conclude on August 15.
”These teams (party workers) will work 24 hours during the yatra period for providing any kind of assistance or help to Yatris as well as people associated with the yatra,” Manzoor Bhat, BJP media in-charge Kashmir, said in a statement.
Bhat said the party workers from Kashmir would maintain the spirit of brotherhood that Kashmiris are practicing since centuries. ”These workers have voluntarily registered their names to help Yatris,” he added.
