Mirwaiz, Sehrai grieved over loss of lives in Peer Ki Gali accident

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Thursday expressed grief over the tragic death of 11 school children including nine girls in a road accident at Peer Ki Gali.
In a statement, Mirwaiz prayed for the early recovery of other injured in the incident.
He expressed regret over the loss of precious lives in accidents on a daily basis.
Sehrai in a statement said that it is tragic to see many lives getting lost in road accidents and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir. “The cause of the fateful accident should be ascertained. The authorities need to devise a strategy to reduce these tragedies,” he said.
“It is heart-wrenching to hear about such deadly accidents happening time and again and the administration is equally responsible for passengers safety in the areas which are mostly hilly,” he added.
He expressed sympathies with the families whose loved ones were killed in a tragic road accident and shared his thoughts and prayers with the bereaved families. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
