Geelani condemns NIA notice to Yasmeen Raja

Srinagar: Strongly condemning the NIA notice to the Hurriyat leader Yasmeen Raja and calling her to appear before NIA headquarters at Delhi on June 17, Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Sunday alleged that the government is using investigative agencies as a “war weapon” to strangulate the people and the pro-freedom workers and leaders.
“Yasmeen Raja is suffering from multiple ailments and she has a kidney problem and last year her kidney was removed by the doctors. She is under regular supervision of doctors and psychological stress can be very fatal for her,” Geelani said in a statement.
He also slammed the arrest of Muslim League leader, Mohammad Rafiq Ganie.
