Sehrai condemns assault, detention of youths in Soibugh

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Sunday condemned the assault and detention of youths in Soibugh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a statement, he said that the “unarmed and innocent people of Kashmir are living at the mercy of the government forces and nobody cares for them. The presence of army in the civilian areas not only has physiological impact over the people but their social setup has also become a victim to it”.
He said that it is because of the fact that “government forces operating in Kashmir lack accountability which raises their morale to commit gross human rights violations”. He urged the international human rights organizations to play their role effectively in stooping the grave human rights violations in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, on directions Sehrai, TeH delegation visited the Tral Noorpora and shared grief with the bereaved family of Zakir Musa.
Sehrai also expressed grief over the demise of elder sister of Syed Salah u din.
