Srinagar: Hizbul Mujhadeen Saturday paid tributes to militant commander Zakir Musa, saying despite having difference with his style of functioning and ideology, the reality is that he was enthusiastic about Kashmir freedom movement and in taking on government forces.
The outfit Chief Syed Salahuddin said, “The era of suppression will be over and the sacred blood of martyrs will definitely show true colour.”
As per news agency CNS, while paying tributes to Musa, Salahuddin said that “despite having differences with his ideology, Musa fought against the government forces and preferred martyrdom over surrender for sake of freedom and Islam”.
“The reality is that people of Kashmir are fighting against Indian rule while history is witness to the fact that how India promised plebiscite and then backtracked. “There was no need to fight a war if India would have provided an opportunity to the people of Kashmir to decide about their fate,” he said, adding that struggle will continue till taken to the logical conclusion.
During the meeting, tributes were paid to slain militants as well as to Zahoor Ahmed, the brother of an active militant who according to the outfit was killed by forces.
The spokesperson of the outfit Salim Hashmi said that grief was expressed over the demise of Syeda Raja Haqani, the sister of Syed Salahuddin who breathed her last on May 24 (Friday).
