45% candidates qualify class XII bi-annual exams

SRINAGAR: The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Thursday declared results for class 12 bi-annual examinations (2018-19), with a pass percentage of nearly 45 percent.
Out of 57,141 students who appeared, 25,669 (44.92%) passed the examinations.
Outshining boys in terms of the pass percentage, 46.22 per cent girls qualified the exam while as boys registered a pass percentage of 43.89 per cent.
Out of the 31,885 boys who had appeared in the bi-annual exam across the Arts, Commerce and Science streams, only 13,995 have passed. Against this, 11,674 of the 25,256 girls have succeeded in the exam.
As many as 279 have secured distinction in the examination, while as 3915, 12888 and 8511 candidates secured Ist, 2nd and 3rd divisions respectively.
A total of 1957 failed in the examination while as 29515 candidates have to reappear.
