Sehrai pays tributes to Mirwaiz Farooq, Gani Lone

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Sunday paid tributes Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on their martyrdom anniversaries.
According to the statement, he also paid homage to Hawal martyrs.
“The late Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone will always be remembered and revered,” he said, adding both leaders during their struggle for the dignity and honor of the people upheld values which remain as an asset.
Terming them as great and visionary personalities, Sehrai said that the freedom struggle of Kashmiris was adorned with the blood of martyrs and therefore no power on earth could defeat it.
The pro-freedom leader further said that the Kashmiri people are indebted to the invaluable sacrifices of the martyrs and no one would be allowed to play with these sacrifices and such precious sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would never go waste.
He prayed for the heavenly abode of both the leaders and said that the duo has made tremendous sacrifices throughout their life. “Remembering these martyrs rejuvenates our pro-freedom spirit and strengthens our relation with martyrs. May their souls be blessed with eternal peace and serenity.”
The TeH chief reiterated the pledge to continue the liberation movement till taking it to its logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, Sehrai condemned the arrest and slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) on JKLF leader Noor Mohammad Kalwal. He said that “such undemocratic and cheap tactics by the authorities could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people nor their leadership”.
He said Kashmiri people and pro-freedom leadership is being subjected to “vengeance” by the authorities.
Sehrai expressed dismay over the silence maintained by world human rights organizations over the prolonged detentions of resistance leaders.
