Sehrai accuses GoI of violating int’l laws in Kashmir

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Friday accused the government of India of seriously violating international laws in Kashmir.
In a statement, he also slammed the world community for their “insensitivity and unconcern” as the main reason for “unabated bloodshed” in Kashmir.
“For those in charge of the Kashmir policies know all too well what they are doing, what horror they are inflicting,” he said.
Sehrai once again appealed to the international human rights organizations to play role in stopping the ongoing “bloodshed” in Kashmir. He said the world community must intervene and urge New Delhi to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of Kashmiri people. He urged the UN to take serious steps for settlement of the Kashmir dispute which has posed serious threat to the regional peace.
While paying tributes to slain Shopian and Pulwama militants, he said, “The youth are sacrificing their blood for their political rights and the entire nation is indebted to these martyrs for their ultimate sacrifice. It is the collective responsibility of the people of Kashmir and the leadership to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate realization.”
