Srinagar: Vice-Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Talat Ahmad has impressed upon the faculty of Satellite Campus Leh to actively play its role in improving the quality of higher education of Ladakh region.
Prof Talat directed the faculty members to provide quality facilities to the students and researchers at the campus. In view of its geographical location, Prof Talat emphasized to introduce interdisciplinary courses like Geo-Tourism and Eco-Tourism at Leh Campus. On the occasion, Prof Talat declared the Leh Campus, Kashmir University a “plastic-free” zone.
Addressing the faculty, Prof Talat reiterated his commitment to ensure sustained growth and progression of all the satellite campuses in line with the university’s mission of providing higher education at the doorsteps of its aspirants.
Prof Talat also assured that varsity is tirelessly making efforts to provide all the required infrastructure and facilities for the staff and students of Leh campus. Faculty members of the Campus also put forth their suggestions on improving the academic environment at the campus.
Along with the staff and students of the Leh Campus a field visit was also undertaken to the adjoining areas of the Leh Campus.
