Congress voices concern over situation in Baderwah, urges people to maintain harmony

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday expressed concern over the situation in Bhaderwah area of district Doda following the killing of youth by cow vigilantes and asked the government to identify the culprits and book them under law of the land.
In a statement, President PCC G. A. Mir and other senior leaders of the party strongly condemned the incident and termed it as most unfortunate. They said that those who are found guilty must be booked for severe punishment under the law of land.
“The investigating agency should investigate the incident in a most fair and professional manner so that justice is done,” they said.
Congress leaders appealed to the people of both the communities to play their role for maintaining communal harmony in the area. They also appealed to the government not to allow anyone to take advantage of the situation and to disturb peace and religious brotherhood in the area.
