DDC Anantnag for prompt clearance of land issues Chairs PNC meet

Anantnag: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir chaired the Private Negotiations Committee (PNC) meeting on Tuesday to finalize the cases of land acquisition.
The meeting also finalized the rates under Private Negotiations to be paid as land compensation. This was the third meeting on PNC within in two months in order to settle down long pending cases.
He stated that delay in land acquisition for projects leads to cost escalation, delay in implementation and people are deprived of the benefits of development. He added that prompt clearance of land issues would enable availability land for developmental projects and land owners would also feel relaxed as they have to visit revenue office again and again for these cases. He asked to remove bottlenecks forever so that projects are completed as per timelines.
Out of 13 cases, 12 cases were settled. The projects involved were Larkipora – Zaldoora Lisser R&B Road at Chawalgam, construction of 40000 gallan SR and Sluice chamber water supply scheme Tangloo, Shangus side approach road of new Bridge Shangus, construction of 3×30 Mtrs. span steel Bridge at Reshipora Hergawas, BL road to Katu via Mehind Opzan, Thajiwara to Krandigam PMGSY road Uranahall, Panzgam to Kethal Road, Narser to Kachmulla PMGSY Road at Chittergul, 222 KV towers and 132 KV line towers at Bomthan, kurigam, Hillar Arhama, Damhal and Utrsoo.
The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, ACR Anantnag, Xen R&B, PMGSY, Tehsildar & concerned landowners.
