Sehrai pays tributes to slain Shopian militants

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai on Sunday paid tributes the militants killed in an encounter with the government forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian.
In a statement, he said: “Because of the repressive policies, Kashmiris’ fourth generation has been pushed to the wall. The insensitivity of the authorities is the sole reason of the unabated bloodshed which is even continue in this Holy Month of Ramadan.”
The pro-freedom leader said that “the continued atrocities will not be able to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their inalienable political right”.
“GoI cannot silence the voices of Kashmiris through use of military force. The unprecedented sacrifices of Kashmiri people for Kashmir cause will not go waste,” he added.
He said international law and the declarations of the United Nations on self-determination give the Kashmiri people the right to struggle for their cause.
“The sacrifices of these martyrs are a part of our collective memory that can’t be erased at any point in time,” Sehrai said, adding, “Due to sacrifices rendered by our youth and thousands of other martyrs, today resolution Kashmir issue has become inevitable to forge peace in whole South Asia.”
