Indonesian air force jet wakes people up for Suhoor

The Indonesian Air Force has announced on Twitter that will be waking up residents for Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) during Ramadan, reports said.

Pilots will be required to use afterburners to generate noise to wake people up.

The air force jet will be flying over several cities on Java Island, namely Surabaya in East Java, Surakarta, Klaten and Sragen in Central Java and Yogyakarta, The Jakarta Post reported.

The tweet read, “God willing, we will carry out the tradition to wake people up for Suhoor using fighter aircraft.”
