Dir horticulture reviews MIDH scheme during SLEC meet

SRINAGAR: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, who is also Mission Director MIDH (Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture), J&K on Monday chaired a meeting of sub-committee of state level executive committee (SLEC) of MIDH, J&K here at Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by Khursheed Ahmad Dar, General Manger, JK SIDCO; L K Bali, Joint Director, Horticulture Department, Kashmir; Sanjay Sharma, SE, Mechanical Circle, MED, Srinagar; Bashir Ahmad, Executive Horticulture (P&M), J&K, Srinagar; Gul Syed, Chief Canning and Processing Instructor, Lalmandi and Shahid Afzal, Associate Executive, J&K Bank, Srinagar, an official release issued here read.
The fresh projects related to CA store and food processing units received though private entrepreneurs were thoroughly discussed and examined while approving various projects. It was decided that these projects will be placed before the coming SLEC meeting for approval. However, few projects were rejected due to lack of documents and it was decided that these projects and entrepreneurs shall complete the deficiencies within two weeks for further course of action, the release read.
The chairman also instructed to strictly visit all such units and to report about any shortcomings. He stressed for giving wide publicity regarding availing of assistance under MIDH/PMDP schemes so that more and more entrepreneurs could avail the benefits, it added.
