District admin Ganderbal holds PRC camp in Gutlibagh

Ganderbal: District Administration Ganderbal in collaboration with civil society Ganderbal (CSG) held a camp on permanent resident certificates (PRCs) at Gutlibagh here on Saturday.
The camp was first of its kind in Ganderbal where administration reached to doorsteps of people to provide the service.
The locals said that first time they have seen such kind of imitative by the authorities. “Earlier, we used to roam in offices to get the PRC. Now we are getting it in just a few days. These kinds of public service initiatives should continue,” they said.
According to Tehsildar Ganderbal, Mohammed Iqbal Malik the concerned Patwari, Girdawaar, Chokidaar and the other revenue staff was stationed in the village three days prior to the camp to ensure the issuance of revenue extracts, a prime requirement for PRCs.
On the occasion, Dr Khurshid Qureshi, convenor CSG hailed the efforts of revenue department in taking the essential service to doorsteps of local residents.
Tehsildar Ganderbal said that the camp was successfull and many local residents were benefited by the camp. He said that such camps will be held in other villages of the district also.
Assistant commissioner revenue distributed PRCs to the local residents.
