2-week faculty development programme concludes at BGSBU

Srinagar: Two-week faculty development programme on machine learning concluded on Saturday at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri.
The programme was organised by the department of computer sciences during which eminent resource persons discussed various issues related to machine learning, deep learning and image analytics with particular emphasis on the emerging research paradigms in data science.
Vice Chancellor Prof Javed Musarat on the concluding ceremony congratulated the department for organizing the programme.
“The programme will help in long way for training and developing right kind of human resources in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence,” he said and stressed upon the need of organizing such programs for faculty and research scholars to keep abreast of latest tools and trends of research in computer sciences and information technology.
Prof Musarat said that the technology is growing at a phenomenal rate and there is a great demand for trained professional all over the globe in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. He stressed upon the participants to adopt latest techniques of research in computer sciences and develop solutions that will mark an impact on the society as a whole.
Earlier, Dr Sanjay Jamwal, organising secretary of the programme presented the detailed report of the programme.
On the occasion, the participants shared their views and suggestions regarding the programme. Prof GM Malik, Prof Naseem Ahmed, Dr PS Rana, faculty members and research scholars of various departments of the varsity were also present on the occasion.
