Youth missing in Kangan, family appeals him to return home

Kangan: The family members of a youth who has gone missing from Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have appealed him to return home.
According to reports, 26-year-old Shafat Ahmad Malik son of Muhammad Yosuf Malik a resident of Thune Kangan left his home on April 28 (Sunday) for a medical check-up at SMHS hospital in Srinagar but did not return since then.
“After not returning home, we tried to call him (Shafat) but his phone is continuously switched off. We also called our relatives and his friends but could not find him,” the family members said.
After failing to trace him, the family filed a missing report at Police Station Kangan on April 30.
“We appeal him wherever he is please come back home as soon as possible. Don’t leave us like this,” said Shafat’s sister.
Shafat had recently left the job of a salesman at a footwear shop in Srinagar to extend a helping hand in domestic works.
Police officials said that the efforts are on to trace the missing youth.
