Upgrade SDH Tral to District Hospital status: Altaf Thakur appeals govt

Srinagar: Accusing successive governments of neglecting Tral and its adjoining areas, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state spokesperson Altaf Thakur on Thursday appealed to the governor Satya Pal Malik to upgrade the status of Tral Sub District Hospital to District Hospital status by providing all necessary facilities in the hospital.
“Successive leaders in the area was the reason for the compounding miseries of general public, as they never bothered about them. Our local leaders have failed to mitigate the sufferings of people here. They only made their families from rags to riches, but did nothing for common people,” Thakur said in a statement.
Thakur demanded facilities of engagement of doctors and necessary staff members in the hospital including emergency operation theatre, Gynecologist ward, pediatrics and trauma centre in the hospital.
“A complete infrastructure at par with District Hospital be provided to the people of Tral,” he demanded.
Thakur also said unnecessary referral is rampant in the hospital and the same should be stopped to save precious human lives.
“I appeal to the governor to take these issues seriously for the welfare of general public,” Thakur said.
