J&K Bank announces ‘Long Live Our Pensioners Scheme’

JAMMU: The J&K Bank Chairman, Parvez Ahmed on Thursday announced ‘Long Live Our Pensioners Scheme’ that will be rolled out post regulatory clearances coinciding with the bank’s 80th year of operations wherein all the retired employees of the bank will be honoured or rewarded on attaining age of 80, 85, 90 and 100 years with Rs 80,000, Rs 85,000, Rs 90,000 and Rs 10 lakhs on the respective milestones.
The chairman was speaking at a function held by the J&K Bank Retired Employees Welfare Association (REWA) Jammu to felicitate him on its 5th conference here, an official handout read.
Acknowledging the contribution of retirees who, according to the chairman, “laid the strong foundation of this prestigious institution”, Parvez said, “It is the result of their dedication and commitment that this premier financial institution of the state is all set to touch new heights now. We need to preserve the core values of loyalty, dedication, compassionate human touch for customers, etc., which has created a unique brand identity for the bank in the state and rest of India. Your services and contribution to the J&K Bank’s growth shall always be remembered, respected and held in high esteem”, the handout read.
The bank chairman said it was only because of the contributions of the senior colleagues “the bank has grown from a small bank a few decades back to an institution of systemic importance of the J&K state doing a business in excess of 1,60,000 crores providing direct and indirect employment to thousands of families besides growth capital to the entrepreneurs in nook and corner of the state”, adding the issues of socio-cultural and economic equality will remain on top of J&K Bank’s agenda across the state, the handout added.
