Four injured as compressor explodes at tyre shop

BUDGAM: Four persons including a father-son duo were injured after an air compressor exploded at a tyre shop in Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Police officials said that an air compressor of a tyre repairing shop exploded in Aripanthan village on Thursday morning.
He said four persons, including the shop owner, his son and a worker, were injured in the blast.
The injured have been identified as Riyaz Ahmad, son of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Beerwah, his son Raju,
Khursheed Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Rosool Khan, a resident of Srinagar and Sajad Ahmad son of Ghulam Nabi.
“The injured were immediately shifted to CHC hospital Magam from where they had been shifted to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment”.
