Who killed our son, asks Baramulla family

Baramulla: The family of a shopkeeper who was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district past month, on Sunday asked who killed their son.
An unidentified gunman shot dead 35-year-old shopkeeper Arjumand Majeed Bhat, aka Raju Mistry in the Baramulla town last month.
Bhat was shot multiple times by the gunman inside his chemist shop in the main chowk of the town.
A family member of Bhat, a resident of Khawajabagh Baramulla said that they appealed all the militant organisations through news papers to accept if they killed their son, and disclose what the reason behind the killing was.
“He was running a chemist shop at main market Baramulla and was not associated with any political organization. They (militant organisations) should clear that they have or have not killed our son,” he said.
He said a few days ago they appealed all the militant organisations to clear who killed their son and what was his crime. “We are in trouble and fail to understand the reason behind his murder,” the family member said.
The family members said that people are talking different things about the murder and they can’t answer them because they are not clear who killed their son. “We heard that police received the CCTV recordings but they have not identified the killer yet. It means that he was a non local and he arrived here only for this killing,” they said and appealed all the militant outfits to clear their version.
