BUDGAM: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Budgam has ordered closure of government and private schools in the district on April 17 and 18 in the backdrop of parliamentary polls.
The election for central Kashmir’s parliamentary seat is scheduled for April 18, Thursday.
An order issued by the CEO has directed all the heads and class IV staff of the schools designated as polling stations to remain present in their respective schools on both the days.
Furthermore, all the rooms in the schools should be kept unlocked so as to facilitate the smooth conduct of the polls, the order reads.
